H1N1 Prevention: It’s not just about you

If you’re like many people, you don’t bother with flu shots or pay much attention to warnings about infectious diseases. After all, you’re healthy. Some would say, invincible.

The fact is, even healthy people have the ability to spread the virus. Touching a doorknob, a hand-railing, sharing food or drinks, and playing contact sports are among the many ways to spread viruses from one person to another.

By following the prevention guidance outlined here, you can help others who are more susceptible: young children, pregnant women, and people with compromised immune systems. Maybe even someone you know and love.

If not for you, do it for someone else.
